By registering for or using Précis (“the Service”), operated by Uchina Support Services (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Précis is a private briefing platform that transforms audio updates into polished written briefings. We provide:
The Service is provided as-is. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time with reasonable notice.
The Service is open to any individual or organization that agrees to these Terms. By registering, you represent that:
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
The Service is offered on a monthly subscription basis in the following tiers:

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to the Service until that date.
All subscription fees are non-refundable. We do not offer refunds for partial months, unused briefings, or cancelled accounts. If you believe you have been charged in error, contact us at support@uchina-support.com within 14 days of the charge.
You retain full ownership of all audio files, briefings, and content you create or upload through the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process and store your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
We do not claim ownership of your content. We do not use your content for any purpose beyond delivering the Service.
You agree not to use the Service to:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without refund.
Briefings generated through the Service are produced with the assistance of AI. While we strive for quality and accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or misrepresentations. You are responsible for reviewing all briefings before publishing or distributing them.
We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose of AI-generated briefing content. We are not liable for any decisions made in reliance on briefing content generated through the Service.
Published briefings are distributed via private links. You are responsible for how those links are shared and who receives them. We are not liable for the consequences of links being shared beyond their intended recipients.
Published briefing pages are not indexed by search engines, but private links do not constitute a guarantee of confidentiality. Treat published links as you would any sensitive document.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Uchina Support Services shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or reputational harm.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the total amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Uchina Support Services from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.
We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, your access to the Service ends. We will retain your data for 30 days following termination, after which it may be permanently deleted. You may request immediate deletion by contacting support@uchina-support.com.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Naha District Court (那覇地方裁判所) as the court of first instance.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify active users by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
